Seth Walsh Passes Away after Suicide Attempt

Seth Walsh, the Tehachapi 13-year-old who hanged himself from a tree in his back yard after years of being bullied, died Tuesday afternoon after nine days on life support. Tehachapi police investigators interviewed some of the young people who taunted Seth the day he hanged himself and determined despite the tragic outcome of their ridicule, their actions do not constitute a crime. "Several of the kids that we talked to broke down into tears," Jeff Kermode, Tehachapi Police Chief, said. "They had never expected an outcome such as this." He said the students told investigators they wish they had put a stop to the bullying and not participated in it. Friends said Seth was picked on for years because he was gay. - 17 News

When Will this STOP?!?! I understand that everybody does not condone homosexuality or even bisexuality, but why bully people that are doing no harm to YOU? Half of the people that bully Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender teens are insecure. They think... "Oh your Gay? Well you won't be hitting on me, I'll make sure of it!" What they don't know or understand is that half the time, THEY DON'T WANT YOU! If they know your straight 9 times out of 10 if they DO have a crush on you their keeping it to themselves. Where is GLAAD now? You were so quick to jump on 50 Cent for joking about shooting up a gay marriage ceremony, but this young man is gone because people couldn't deal with his way of life, and I haven't heard a damn thing from GLAAD! This is the 4th Suicide of a middle/high school student. When will the LGBT Community stand up and say enough is enough? I'm Ready, what about you guys? These are BABIES! They aren't adults, they don't know how to handle the constant teasing. Its time to take a stand. Be Proud of who you are and don't let anyone tell you anything different...
