Sooooooooo! Everybody knows that I'm a firm believer that woman should know how to atleast boil water...
cause some of you hoes can't even do that. Well heres something everybody can make... CANDY APPLES! YAY!
what you'll need
6 apples, stems removed
3 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon extract or cherry-flavored extract
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
6 skewers
Vegetable oil spray
Parchment paper
Baking sheet
Medium saucepan
Candy thermometer
step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, anchoring down corners with tape to prevent it from curling. Spray parchment paper with vegetable oil.
Insert a skewer into the top of each apple.
step 2
Combine the sugar, water, corn syrup and extract in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
step 3
Uncover and continue to cook for about 5 to 10 minutes, until the syrup reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit on a candy thermometer. Remove pan from the heat and stir in the food coloring.
step 4
Tilting the saucepan, coat the apples one at a time.
step 5
Let excess syrup drip back into the saucepan, and set the coated apples on the prepared baking sheet. Let cool and harden for at least 15 minutes before serving
