@Rasheeda: Lets Talk Money Management

Well it finally happened... Rasheeda finally released the video to her "Hit Single" Marry Me and my my my, LETS TALK MONEY MANAGEMENT!!! Kirk BLEW a few G's for this??? Sheeda come on now! You could have shot this video with a samsung camera and it would have looked more expensive then this!!! Babydoll... This video is not worth the money you spent and I say this as an unknown artist. If you're going to be independent then atleast make sure you manage your Budget money wisely. Kirk cut everything out of the budget when he could have kept the stylist and still had the $150 left to shoot this video! If ya'll don't believe me see for yourself...

A Sit Down With @NationSaidIt

He's tall, dark, handsome, intelligent and has talent that you wouldn't believe! Mississippi born, Internationally living, Nation is one of the most slept on up and coming artists in the Hip-Hop underground. Behind the "Real Nigga Shit" there's a young man with ambition, strength and contrary to what he may let off, a heart of pure gold. I had the chance to talk to Nation so I could find out WHO or WHAT Nation is and he more then willingly let me in on the man behind the lyrics:

So Nation, seeing as how you are the first person I’ve interviewed for the site I’ll start by asking how are you and what is new with Nation?

AND I’LL START BY SAYING THAT ITS A PLEASURE FOR YOU TO HAVE ME. NOTHING IS EVER REALLY NEW WITH ME. ITS MORE, WELCOMING IN THE EXPECTATIONS. I’M OVERSEAS RIGHT NOW OF COURSE PROMOTING MYSELF, AMONG OTHER THINGS, AND WORKING ON 2 PROJECTS: 1) NATION UNITED: VOL 2 AND SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR SPRING 2012.

I think alot of your supporters are excited to hear that. Now who exactly IS Nation?

IT'S NOT A WHO BUT  MORE SO A WHAT.  OBVIOUSLY AN ARTIST BUT A MAN OF THE PEOPLE, A HUSTLER FOR THE DOLLAR,  A HISTORIAN OF THE CULTURES AND A MIND TO BRING IT ALL TOGETHER.

Now I'm a big fan of yours, but before "The Belief" I hadn't heard of you. I know you have more mixtapes to offer, but with “The Belief” and “Nation United” being released with in a year of each other, What exactly do you want people to get from your music?

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN I WAS DOING MIXTAPES BACK TO BACK BUT TIMING IS EVERYTHING AND I FEEL PEOPLE WASTE ALOT OF IT DOING BACK TO BACK RELEASES UNLESS OF COURSE YOU’RE A MAINSTREAM ARTIST.  THE MESSAGES IN MY MUSIC ARE AS BLUNT AS MY PERSONALITY. IT'S RAW POETRY EMOTION AND GHETTO ART AT TIMES. BUT THE FOCUS RIGHT NOW IS ON MY NEW SINGLE “STAY” FT JOSEPH ANTHONY…IT’S A RADIO SMASH!!!

Oh I know! Its in my iTunes! So when did you know that you wanted music to be a career?

SHIT JUST KEPT CALLING ME BACK YOU KNOW. I WANTED TO PLAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND BE A BOSS DOING WHO KNOWS WHAT BUT AT THE TIME I WASNT SHOOL SAAVY. DUE TO SOME BAD DECISIONS AND MISFORTUNES HERE I AM, BACK IN THE THRESHOLD OF THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

I could definitely see you busting heads on a football field (laughs) I promised I wouldn't get to personal but I have to ask what was life like BEFORE the music?

HARD, GUTTA, POVERTY AMONGST ALL, BUT I FIGURED IT OUT THOUGH. OF COURSE ITS  BEEN LIKE THE NEW FAD LATELY TO SAY YOU FROM THE STREETS OR BE A STREET NIGGA BUT A FEW YEARS AGO, WHEN I WAS COMING OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL, PEOPLE DIDNT LOOK AT A REAL STREET NIGGA LIKE THAT. YOU WERE LIKE THE GUYS NOT TO HANG AROUND CAUSE YOU GOT A BAD NAME OR WASNT GONE BE NOBODY IN LIFE ANYWAY. NOW IT GETS YOU FAME AND FORTUNE. SOMEBODY WAS A FUCKIN GENIUS (LAUGHS)

You have a point there! So what is your motivation?

THE FACT OF KNOWING I’M ALWAYS A DOLLAR AWAY FROM BEING WHERE I USED TO BE AND WORRIES THAT I MIGHT NOT BE A SUCCESSOR IN THE EYE OF MY SON. WHAT HE THINKS OF ME WHEN HE’S OLD ENOUGH TO [KNOW] IS WHAT KEEPS ME STRIVING FOR NEW HEIGHTS.

There is nothing more admirable then a father who wants his son to see him do better. Besides your little tyke, who you CLEARLY adore, Who inspires Nation? Who are your musical influences?

THIS QUESTION IS SO GENERIC. IS THIS LIKE A TEMPLATE FOR EVERYONE WHO DOES INTERVIEWS? (SMILES) ARENT INSPIRATION AND MOTIVATION THE SAME THING? MY MUSICAL INFLUENCE IS MY MOM WHO USED TO SING AROUND THE HOUSE ALL THE TIME AND SOME OF THOSE FAMOUS RAPPERS FROM THE 90’S (LAUGHS)

Nation you of all people know that inspiration doesn't always mean motivation, but with you I see different. Can you tell me about the first song you ever wrote?

YEAH IT WAS CALLED “PRESSURE FROM THE WORLD” IT WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST HOOK I CROONED ON. I WAS WITH MY FIRST LOVE AND WE WERE GOING THROUGH SOME THINGS AND AT THE SAME TIME I HAD ISSUES WITH SCHOOL AND THE LAW; MUSIC WAS MY OUTLET CAUSE I AINT HAVE NO MONEY TO STAY OUT OF JAIL AND WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT GOES.

For a second, I wanted to feel bad, but its clear you've come a hell of a long way since "Pressure From The World" Now... How in all hell did you come up with the concept for “Mr. Marcus”?

ME AND MY LABELMATE “THA JOKER” WAS IN THE MIST OF DOING A MIXTAPE. HE HAD A MANAGER AT THE TIME BY THE NAME OF C-MO. IT WAS A LIL SAYING THEY STARTED ABOUT PUTTING IT DOWN ON CHICKS AND WHEN IT CAME TO FTE, IF YOU WERE A BAD BITCH YOU WANTED TO BE FUCKIN ONE OF US IN THE CAMP. (LAUGHS) WE PUT THE CONCEPT TOGETHER, WENT THROUGH A FEW CHANGES WITH THE SONG AND THE REST IS HISTORY.

For some reason I can see how you came up with the concept and why it's such a hit! So Nation where do you see yourself musically in the next 5 to 10 years?

THE ECONOMY SO FUCKED UP RIGHT NOW THAT THE VISION IS BLURRY. RIGHT NOW THIS SHIT LIKE A 9 TO 5 WITH US ARTIST, WE’RE JUST WORKING WITH A MINIMUM TO NO BENEFITS. WITH ALL THE POLITICS, BACKSTABBING, PETTY SHOW MONEY, DJS GETTING COCKY BY THE SPIN AND HOES FUCKIN OVER RAPPERS, NOT TO MENTION THE DUMB STUNTS US ARTIST PULL OURSELVES. I SEE MYSELF AS ONE OF THE TOP ARTIST IN THE GAME.

Where can people who want to know more about Nation go to find you?

THEY CAN JUST HIT ME ON MY SOCIAL SITES:
Twitter/ @NATIONSAIDIT
Facbook/ NATIONBEAN
WWW.FTELIVE.COM
Myspace/NATIONSAIDIT
FOR BEAT SUBMISSION: POHUSLAS@GMAIL.COM

Its good to see someone in this industry who doesn't mind staying true to themselves. My darling Nation... I salute you.

@rihanna Releases Man Down: Whats The Big Deal?

So Rihanna finally brought to us via BET her now infamous "Man Down" Video. Why do I call it infamous? Because the video has been out for LESS than 48 hours and already people are making it into a big deal! Rihanna depicted herself shooting a man, YES, but she also depicted WHY she shot that man and explained I didn't mean to do it but he hurt me. By law in the USA if you are violently raped in your home you have every right to shoot the man who did it. Its self defense. Rihanna showed what so many rape victims are so scared to do. Too scared to face our attacker, we hide and cry as if we are wrong. Ladies no matter how you're dressed, or how promiscuous you are... NO MEANS NO and if a man can't understand that and you have the ability to defend yourself? DO IT. I don't condone you shooting him dead, BUT the eyes and the testicles are always within reach. Robyn Fenty did a beautiful job telling her story. Ladies I want you to always remember No matter how short your dress, how many men you've been with, or how intoxicated you are... NOBODY DESERVES TO BE RAPED... Trust me, I know. So thank you Robyn for this amazing video and song. If You are a victim of rape please tell someone. Even if your rapist said he'd kill you, tell someone. Its hard when you feel so violated and alone, but just know that someone is always listening. Even if You feel alone.

@LILBTHEBASEDGOD Faces Death Threats Over Album Title

So some of Lil B's fans have turned on him for naming his Album "I'm Gay". I saw this coming from a mile away. Based God, I'm not really a fan of the whole Based movement, but if anybody is saying "That nigga Gay" go look in a dictionary and look up the definition of Gay. Gay means "Happy or Joyful" not homosexual. So with that being said! Salute The Big Dawg! I'm buyin that album

Former HnF Rapper @EnVOnline - Money

I must be honest! I kinda like it! Now lowkey, EnV knew me when I was ELMO... yes bitches my niggas use to call me Elmo. Anyway, I always knew EnV had hella talent and massive amounts of potential, He just needed to stop dickin around and go Steak (Upgrade from HAM & Bo-logna). Do Ya thing EnV, I ain't even mad atcha! The shit goes Fillet Mignon my nigga. This track is DEFINITELY Speak Seiko Certified.

@RazB2K Spazzes on Marquis Houston

Now! Apparently Omarion has been running around saying that Raz B, real name De'Mario Monte Thorton, is bipolar and he has to take pills for it. I honestly feel that De'Mario has every right to be heated. Thats not something you run around telling people. If De'Mario is bipolar and he does have to take pills thats HIS business NOT the rest of the worlds. Do I think Marquis should have heard him out? Yes. Do I think De'Mario should have gotten loud because he wouldn't listen, Yes. Do I  think De'Mario should have openly spazzed and put it on World Star Hip Hop, HELL NO. Honestly, De'Mario has been hurting for a long time now and its starting to affect him emotionally and spiritually. Instead of giving a fuck, Omarion got his fame and now hes basically letting De'Mario go through it by himself! Omarion, your foul for not helping your brother in his time of need. Marquis your dead wrong for letting people talk about him KNOWING hes going through some things, and you just stand by and let em talk. What Ever Happened to being your brothers keeper?

Girl Power or Idiocracy?

News_Nicki Minaj_rapper_VMA 2010
Sooooooooo! I heard that Nicki Minaj made a statement to "OUT" magazine. So here is what the "Fake It Til You Make It" style artist had to say:
I want to do what people think I can't do, which is have the number 1 album in the country and be the first female rapper to sell records like dudes in this day and age. It's interesting that people have more negative things to say about me saying 'I'm Barbie' than me saying 'I'm a bad b*tch,' So you can call yourself a female dog because that's cool in our community. But if you call yourself a Barbie, that's fake. Once I figure something is irritating people, I'm going to do it more because I like to get on your nerves until you realize how f***king stupid you are.
Now! some of you can call me a hater all you want... I've TRIED giving Nicki a full on chance. Its just not working for Seiko. I mean honestly, you can continue to do something to annoy people and thats fine, but remember your still new to this game. Annoyance gets you NO WHERE in the music biz. Eventually that "Barbie" phase is going to pass, and a lot of your "fans" are going to move on. You don't make your so called "haters" look stupid, you make yourself look stupid with all those stupid ass faces, jerking like you got epilepsy, and screaming like a deaf porn star at the end of every verse. Alot of you need to Understand that the only, the ONLY reason that Nicki Minaj is so hot right now is because shes the only... THE ONLY female rapper really doing something right now. Its not WHAT you know but WHO you know, and she knows all the right people. That new nose job, silicone butt injections and that breast augmentation made her famous. If Nicki was still the teeny tiny thing from Brooklyn that she was two years ago she wouldnt be famous. Nicki is EYE CANDY to the masses. Thats where it is and thats where it stays. BUT GIRLFRIEND, YOUR LOVE, AND CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME ARE SOME DOPE ASS SONGS. I'll give her that.

Ms. 32 Flavors: SMH... DAMNIT DIAMOND!

Is it me or did Diamond get OMEGA THICK over night? I know I ain't trippin! that booty was NOT that big a 3 or 4 Months ago when her and Toya were in Rasheeda's remix video for Bedrock. ON ANOTHER NOTE! The video is adorable, don't get me wrong, but these types of songs are ALL TOO COMMON NOW! DIAMOND! BABY, your lyrical talent is TOO GOOD to be doing songs like this. She could be bigger then Nicki Meningitis... Mononucleousis... Merange pie... WHATEVER THAT FUTURE FLOPS LAST NAME IS! Diamond has the lyrical power to change the ENTIRE game... I love Diamond and I'm sure she'll bring the state of female hip hop back to what it once was... if she proves to men that we aren't just pretty faces, and nice booties.

German Pop Singer PURPOSELY Passing the HIV Virus

Nadja Benaissa, from successful girl group No Angels, is on trial for carelessly sleeping with four men and possibly infecting one of them. Nadja (29) was diagnosed with HIV at 17 years old when she went for a routine check up after finding that she was pregnant. Now if you watch the video you can see that she obviously doesn't care. The smirk on her face clearly shows that she isn't concerned about anyone else but herself. Shes about to get 10 years for ATTEMPTED MURDER! If you ask me she should spend the rest of her life in prison. I'm more so concerned about her daughter. At 12 years old her daughter is old enough to understand that "Mommy gave someone something they can't get rid of." It really is a fucked up situation. Its fucked up how you are so mad at the world that you want to pass that on to someone who has done absolutely nothing to wrong you. Its fucked up how selfish people can be in this day and age. People please! Know your status, and if you don't WRAP IT UP. HIV knows no face, no age, no gender, so sexual preference, it doesn't care if you live in an upper middle class neighborhood with a wife and kids, it doesn't care that you live in the hood, it doesn't care that you go to church every Sunday... HIV/AIDS HAS NO SPECIFIC DEMOGRAPHIC! Be Safe. If not for yourself then for our future children.

The DeBarge Dynasty Continues

Alot of you youngsters don't really know about DeBarge. Well you know about them but you don't KNOW about them... Well Bobby, Tommy, El, Bunny, and Chico Debarge all left their marks in music, whether it was Bobby and his group Switch, or El and DeBarge, they have all carved their niche in the stone wall of time. Just when you thought the DeBarge Legacy was long gone, El comes back on the scene, clean and sober! Not only is El coming back strong, but the DeBarge babies are doing their own thing! Bobby Jr. is working on his project, El Jr. is singing AND rapping, and little miss Kristinia is known for songs like Good-Bye and Sabotage. Bobby Jr has a new song coming to us pretty soon. How does Seiko know this? I SAW IT ON TWITTER BITCH! DON'T QUESTION ME YOU SIMPLE MUTHAFUCKA! anyway though... I'm pretty proud of these babies! R.I.P Bobby, LONG SING THE ROYAL FAMILY OF R&B

I wanna be like Him when I grow up

Now most of you follow me on twitter and after I saw the video I sent a tweet that said and I quote "i must say @NBTPAIN has great taste! granite he spends money like he was born with it comin outta his woohoo but hes young he can do that." On some real shit, a big ass nuvo chain, a big ass "BIG ASS CHAIN" chain, and now a car themed after the dark knight? When you have apps for iPhones, you're on EVERYBODY'S song, you have your own label with LUCRATIVE artists, and you've been in the game for more then 4 years... you're most definitely entitled to spend as much money as you want. ESPECIALLY IF YOUR ONLY 24 YEARS OLD! Hes still a Baby so I say hey... go ahead and splurge.

Ratchetness Of The Week

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THIS! WE ALREADY HAVE A KHIA AND A TRINA WE DONT NEED ANOTHER ONE! WE ALREADY HAVE A YUNG MAZI AND A SLIM DUNCAN SITCHO WACK ASS DOWN! Don't get me wrong! the video is dope, but the song should only be played in the strip club while NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION
